Donating depreciated IT-hardware: how it works
Support IT4Kids with a contribution and provide children with a lasting opportunity to engage in sports!
Which hardware can you donate?
Would you like to contribute to creating structural sports opportunities for children who wouldn’t otherwise have them due to financial or physical challenges? Many companies donate their depreciated IT-hardware to us, such as laptops, desktops, servers, switches, smartphones, tablets, monitors, and routers.
For smaller quantities, the transportation and processing costs often exceed the value of the donation. Therefore, it becomes interesting to donate from 15 pieces onwards.
We donate the value to the projects of charities we collaborate with. Donating IT-hardware to IT4Kids costs you nothing and is incredibly valuable.
Safely donating IT-hardware and laptops: How it works
Donating IT-hardware with your company to IT4Kids is simple and safe. All you need to do is contact us to schedule a pickup appointment. We’ll take care of the rest.
You don’t need to worry about the data on the IT-hardware. Our processing partners remove stored data in a careful, certified (ISO) manner. You will receive proof of this for each data carrier. Only after the data has been removed, we ensure that the IT-hardware is passed on to professional parties that give the devices a second life.

Donating IT equipment: step-by-step explained
How does donating IT equipment, such as old computers, laptops, or servers, work exactly? Let us explain step by step:
Step 1. Go to IT4Kids.com and register the hardware
Specify which donated IT equipment you would like us to pick up. We will contact you, provide information on what will happen to your equipment, and schedule a pickup appointment.
Step 2. We pick up the IT equipment from your company
According to the appointment, we will visit your location. We take the devices with us to securely remove the data.
Step 3. Data is removed in a certified manner
To ensure that your IT-hardware no longer contains any data, we have it certified removed. This way, you can be sure that there is no sensitive information left on the IT-hardware you donated. Each device receives a certificate of data wiping after the process.
Step 4. The value of the IT-hardware you donated goes to projects providing children with lasting sports opportunities
Once the certificate of data wiping is issued, the value of the equipment goes to the charity of your choice.
