FC Utrecht & IT4Kids
FC Utrecht and IT4Kids have the ambition and feel the necessity to enable young people in Utrecht, for whom it is not self-evident, to engage in sports regularly. Together, we are building a strong local network. We do this in various neighborhoods in the province of Utrecht by deploying a FIT box. This is a physical box containing sports equipment that children from the neighborhood can use, both in organized and unorganized settings.
By involving players and coaches from FC Utrecht, we aim to create unique moments and provide additional motivation to get children involved in regular physical activity. With the FIT box, IT4Kids and FC Utrecht are introducing a sustainable tool to improve the social, mental, and physical well-being of children. In these neighborhoods, we stimulate young people to engage in activities together, develop, and grow.

We are genuinely involved and foster connections within neighborhoods, the city, and the region. We achieve this by inspiring and mobilizing the people of Utrecht from the core.
Trukendoos actie met FC Utrecht
Samen met FC Utrecht hebben wij in 2021 de actie ‘Doneer een Trukendoos’ opgezet. Ruim 19.000 kinderen groeien in de provincie Utrecht op in een gezin dat onder de armoedegrens leeft. Deze kinderen hebben dagelijks te maken met de gevolgen van armoede, zoals niet kunnen sporten, weinig vriendjes hebben en gevoelens van eenzaamheid hebben.
De trukendoos is voor deze kinderen, zodat zij ook het plezier van voetbal kunnen hebben en #skills4life kunnen ontdekken. De trukendoos is opgezet en uitgevoerd in nauwe samenwerking van FC Utrecht, IT4Kids en de FC Utrecht Academie.
Voetbal is vervolgens de verbindende factor die ervoor zorgt dat nieuwe vriendschappen ontstaan; misschien wel voor het leven! In de trukendoos zit onder meer een voetbal, voetbaltrucjes en FC Utrechtextraatjes.
