The collaboration between N.E.C. Maatschappelijk and IT4Kids has been extended for 1 year.
N.E.C. Maatschappelijk and IT4Kids have extended their partnership for another year! IT4Kids is the official project partner of N.E.C. United and Electric Wheelchair Football.
Project Coordinator An Nijkamp is pleased with the renewed agreement. ‘We are incredibly proud that our collaboration with IT4Kids has been extended for another year. With IT4Kids as the official partner of our electric wheelchair football team, we provide children with physical disabilities who are wheelchair-bound a unique sports opportunity. This allows them to engage in the sport they have always wanted to do.’
With the N.E.C. United project, around fifty children receive sports lessons twice a week for a year. This helps them in their daily lives so that they continue to benefit from the skills learned even after the lessons. Experience shows that almost all children who have completed the N.E.C. United program become members of a sports club.
IT4Kids Foundation collects retired hardware from companies and donates the value to projects of charities on behalf of the donor. These organizations work towards providing sustainable (sports) opportunities for children facing financial or physical challenges.
At IT4Kids, they are also excited about the contract extension. “It’s great that we can continue the excellent collaboration with N.E.C.,” says Evelyn Kleij, project and partnership manager at IT4Kids. “We are genuinely happy about it! It’s fantastic to see that with the N.E.C. United and electric wheelchair football projects, we can offer so many children a consistent sports opportunity. Additionally, the communication between IT4Kids and N.E.C. is very pleasant. From N.E.C., we receive successful leads to companies to collect retired hardware, allowing us to make an additional contribution to the projects.”
